本記事では、Fortinet社よりアナウンスされたソフトウェアライフサイクルのアップデートについてご案内致します。
アップデートの内容
2026年3月31日にFortiGate（FortiOS）、FortiAnalyzer、FortiManagerのv7.4およびv7.6でリリース日（General Availability Date : GA）からエンジニアリングサポート終了日（End of Engineering Support：EOES）までのサポート期間が12か月延長されることがアナウンスされました。
- FortiOS v7.4 および v7.6のGAからEOESまでのサポート期間が12ヵ月延長
- FortiAnalyzer v7.4 および v7.6のGAからEOESまでのサポート期間が12ヵ月延長
- FortiManager v7.4 および v7.6のGAからEOESまでのサポート期間が12ヵ月延長
※上記以外の製品、バージョンのサポート期間の変更に関する情報はありません（2026/3/31現在）。

なお、FortiOS v7.6は、FortiCare Eliteにより延長サポート（Long Term Support：LTS）の対象となりますが、EOESの延長により延長サポート終了日（Extended end of Support：EEOS）についても12か月繰り下げられています。

EOES延期の影響について
FortiOSでは自動パッチアップグレードやSSL‑VPNの廃止といった重要な仕様変更が加えられており、アップグレードやIPsec‑VPNへの移行を検討されているかたも多いかと思います。EOES延長により時間的な余裕が生まれましたので、計画的に対応を進めていただければと思います。

FortiOSの自動パッチアップグレード
FortiOS v7.4.8 、v7.6.4では、セキュリティの向上と脆弱性の低減を目的として、 Firmware & General Updates (FMWR) ライセンス （いわゆるFortiGateの保守）が失効している、またはEOESを迎えたバージョンで稼働しているFortiGateが現在利用しているマイナーバージョン内の最新パッチに自動的にアップグレードされる仕様が追加されました。
To enhance security and reduce vulnerabilities, FortiGates that are no longer under a valid Firmware & General Updates (FMWR) license or that have reached End of Engineering Support (EOES) will automatically upgrade to the latest patch within their current minor version.
FortiOS v7.6以降でのSSL-VPNの機能削除
FortiOS v7.6.0では一部モデルでSSL-VPNが削除され、v7.6.3では、全モデルでSSL-VPNトンネルモードが削除されるという変更が追加されました。
On FortiGate models with 2GB of RAM or below, the SSL VPN web and tunnel mode feature will no longer be available from the GUI or CLI. Settings will not be upgraded from previous versions.
Starting in FortiOS 7.6.3, the SSL VPN tunnel mode feature is replaced with IPsec VPN, which can be configured to use TCP port 443. SSL VPN tunnel mode is no longer available in the GUI and CLI. Settings will not be upgraded from previous versions. This applies to all FortiGate models.
To ensure uninterrupted remote access, customers must migrate their SSL VPN tunnel mode configuration to IPsec VPN before upgrading to FortiOS 7.6.3.
